National Award Winner R Madhavan has recently been nominated as the chairman of the governing council and President of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).
R Madhavan’s first directorial debut ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ won the National Award for Best Feature Film.
Taking to X(formerly Twitter) Union Minister Anurag Thakur congratulated Madhavan for being nominated as the FTII president. He tweeted, “Heartiest congratulations to @ActorMadhavan ji on being nominated as President of @FTIIOfficial and Chairman of the governing council. I’m sure that your vast experience & strong ethics will enrich this institute, bring positive changes, & take it to a higher level. My best wishes to you.”

After the monumental success of Chandrayaan-3, R Madhavan’s directorial debut, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ bagged the award of the Best Feature Film. The movie is a biographical drama revolving around the life of former ISRO scientist S Nambi Narayanan.
