Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday called for renewed national determination to achieve a Viksit Bharat by 2047, giving the rallying cry ‘We will do it’ at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha in New Delhi.
Addressing the gathering as he marked 25 years as head of government, PM Modi said the occasion was not only about recalling the past but also about drawing fresh energy for India’s future.
The crowd repeatedly echoed his words, ‘We will do it’.
Recalling his call for ‘Sabka Prayas’, PM Modi urged citizens to unite behind key national goals, including making India a developed nation by 2047, becoming one of the world’s top three economies, achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat, emerging as a global manufacturing hub, hosting the Olympics and advancing India’s space ambitions.
PM Modi said his 25-year public journey should be assessed through India’s progress rather than his personal achievements.
PM Modi linked Gujarat’s development with India’s growth and relied on people’s participation in policymaking and implementation.
He said he again drew on their collective strength after taking charge as Prime Minister in 2014 amid economic challenges.
PM Modi cited agriculture as a key example of transformation and highlighted the government’s saturation approach to ensure benefits reach every eligible beneficiary.
He said India’s 140 crore citizens could collectively build a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and stressed that the country must continue moving forward with determination.
PM Modi praised pilot Captain Smit Machchhar, saying the world would soon talk about Made-in-India aircraft.
He urged citizens to keep learning, work with determination and contribute to the nation, saying every crisis strengthened his resolve and every success deepened his responsibility.
