Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha in New Delhi on Wednesday, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to mark 25 years of his public service.

As PM Modi arrived at the gathering, people showered flowers, waved BJP flags and raised slogans including ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Modi ji ka swagat hai’. Many attendees also used their phones to capture the moment.

Addressing the gathering, BJP National President Nitin Nabin congratulated PM Modi on completing 25 years as head of government.

He said people were extending their blessings and best wishes to the Prime Minister so he could continue serving the nation and advance the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Nabin praised PM Modi’s dedication and described his 25-year journey as a historic chapter marked by challenges, perseverance and public service. He said PM Modi had made serving the people the purpose of his life and treated politics and power as instruments of national service.

The BJP president highlighted government initiatives for youth, women, the poor and sports.

PM Modi completed 25 years as head of government on October 7, beginning as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001. He became Prime Minister in 2014 and has since completed three consecutive terms.

PM Modi’s tenure has also seen India expand its global engagement, strengthen ties with major powers and play a prominent role in the Global South. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan marks the milestone by highlighting his journey from Gujarat to national leadership.
