NCP Crisis: Ajit Pawar In Tussle With Uncle Sharad Pawar For Party Name-Symbol, Plans To Reach Election Commission

Sharad Pawar faction issued a whip to party members to be present for meeting in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar led faction is soon to reach the Election Commission to demand for party name and symbol after meeting on Wednesday. Sharad Pawar led NCP has filed Caveat in ECI.

On July 2, Ajit Pawar along with 8 MLA rebelled against NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar and joined Eknath Shinde led Maharashtra Government.

Faction led by Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar Faction will be holding meeting separately today to prove that they have the support of the majority of MLA from their party. Currently NCP has 53 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in which 14 MLA support Sharad Pawar and 24 MLA are with Ajit Pawar.

Sharad Pawar faction issued a whip to party members to be present for meeting in Mumbai whereas Ajit Pawar faction requested to all former legislators, parliamentarians and working committee members to attend meeting in Bandra.
