Moderate To Severe Rainfall Predicted In These States Till September 28 By IMD

Over the next five days, the rest of the nation was expected to have isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall, according to the IMD.

On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall in several regions of India till September 28. In Bihar, light to moderate rain showers leaving a few areas where heavy rain is expected till September 28. On September 25, it’s also likely to rain heavily in parts of Goa, the Gujarat region, and northern Karnataka.

Thunderstorms with lightning may be reported in parts of Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Gujarat region, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, central Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Yanam, Puducherry, Karaikal and Mahe.

From September 26 to 28, extremely heavy rain is predicted in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. On September 27 and 28 in parts of north interior Karnataka and on September 25, 27, and 28, mild to moderate rain showers with sporadic heavy rainfall is predicted.

On September 25, 27 and 28, central Maharashtra is predicted to have similar weather conditions. While some areas of Marathwada could get light to moderate rainfall on September 27 with sporadic heavy showers, similar weather conditions are anticipated to throughout Gujarat till September 28.
