Indian Man Ties Knot With Pakistani Women In Online Wedding

Despite the tense relations between India and Pakistan, marital bonds between people from both the nations remain strong.

Last week, an Indian man, Mohammad Arbaz, and a Pakistani woman, Ameena, married in an online ceremony. The event was administered by qazis from both sides and attended by bride and groom family members. The groom was in his home in Jodhpur, India, while the bride was in Karachi, Pakistan. In order to solemnize the cross-country wedding, the two were inter-connected by big LED screens.

Mohammad Afzal, the groom’s father, explained that the wedding was held online since Ameena’s visa application was being delayed. Despite the tense relations between India and Pakistan, he added, marital bonds between people from both nations remain strong.

The groom, an advocate and video editor, stated that he is currently waiting for Ameena to obtain a visa so that she can visit India. He stated that internet wedding should make it easier for her to obtain a visa. He stated that such marriages are not uncommon, and many other weddings have been held online in the past.
