Delhi Police Arrests 2 In Delhi University Student Murder Case

The victim was attacked by a group of four students outside the college gate. He was stabbed multiple times in the chest, the police said.

Delhi Police on Monday apprehended two people in a connection with incident where student was stabbed to death in Delhi University’s South Campus on Sunday.

“Two persons Rahul – a 1st year BA student – and Haroon – a school dropout and friend of Rahul – have been apprehended. The investigation is in progress. We have identified two more persons involved in this incident said”, Manoj C, DCP South West Delhi

A teenager was stabbed outside a Delhi college on Sunday by a group of students. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Nikhil Chauhan, was a first-year student of BA (Hons) political science at the School of Open Learning (SOL) at Delhi University’s Aryabhatta College.

Nikhil was attacked by a group of four students outside the college gate at around 12:30 pm. He was stabbed multiple times in the chest, the police said.

According to the police, seven days ago, one of the accused had misbehaved with Nikhil’s girlfriend at the college. The main accused, along with three companions, confronted Nikhil outside the college gate and stabbed him.

“It is very unfortunate and sad that a young life has been lost and that too just outside the college where students come to learn and make a career. We are really sad for the loss of a precious life,” said Delhi University in a statement.
