A minor boy from Southeast Delhi’s Batla house allegedly killed his tutor a few days ago. The accused has been detained by the police, he claims he murdered the man and sexually assaulted him repeatedly.
On August 30, police were informed of the death of Mohammad Waseem in Batla House, a Zakir Nagar resident. According to Rajesh Deo, DCP (South-East), a police team arrived at the second-floor house at 2.15 pm on that day after learning about the matter. The squad discovered the home’s front door open and a man lying on the floor with blood all over him. He had a serious neck wound.
The house where the crime was committed is owned by victim’s family. According to the police’s first inquiry, the tutor had left his residence on the day of the event around 11.30 am. The police searched all nearby CCTV footage for hints about the crime.
As per Deo, this aided the police and finding the murderer and later on arrested him. “During inquiry, we learnt that the victim often engaged in homosexual activities. He met the boy two months ago and was repeatedly sexually assaulting him,” he added.
According to reports, Waseem threatened to broadcast a video of the boy on social media if he did not accede to his sexual demands. According to a police officer, on August 30, Waseem phoned the boy to his home. “The juvenile was fed up with the repeated sexual assaults and the blackmail. He, therefore, came up with a plan to kill the man. He carried a paper cutter with him,” the officer said.
