Delhi Man Kills Live-In-Partner, Stuffs Body In Wardrobe, Arrested

DCP Singh also disclosed that the prime suspect in the case, had a notorious criminal record preceding this incident.

Due to ongoing pressure to get married, a man allegedly killed his live-in partner and placed her body inside a wardrobe. He was arrested by Delhi Police.

The deceased, Rukhsar aka Riya, was discovered dead inside a wardrobe. The dead was living with her friend Vipul Tailor, it was discovered after investigation. According to Delhi Police, it was discovered after questioning that the accused, Vipul Tailor, had been connected to ten such crimes in the past.

The Delhi Police have reported that at around 10:30 p.m. on April 3, a distress call was received. The caller reported the horrific act to the authorities, claiming that Vipul Tailor was the guy who killed their daughter.

“On 3rd April at 10:30 pm, we received a call where the caller said that my daughter had been murdered by a person named Vipul. Immediately, a PCR and staff reach the incident spot,” DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh told ANI.

A group of police, including the PCR squad, reacted quickly and raced to the Dwarka crime scene.

When police officials arrived, they discovered Rukhsar, also known as Riya, was dead and was hidden inside a huge wardrobe with sliding doors.

“The body of the deceased, identified as Rukhsar alias Riya, was found in the Almirah. Crime Team and FSL were called. Teams were formed to arrest the accused, who was absconding,” DCP Singh added.

The police reported that she had obvious signs of struggles on her body, including minor cuts and strangling marks that suggested she had tried to fend off her attacker.

DCP Singh also disclosed that the prime suspect in the case, had a notorious criminal record preceding this incident, as he was involved in a total of 10 prior cases, including charges of attempted murder and violations of the NDPS Act.

“We found that several cases were registered against him in Gujarat as well. During the investigation, it was revealed that two cases were registered in Delhi against the accused, Vipul Tailor…After sincere efforts, he was arrested,” the DCP added.
