Two schools in Nepal were officially inaugrated in front of government leaders, embassy representatives, and political figures. The schools were built with financial support from Indian government under program known as “Nepal-India Development Cooperation.”
According to Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Shree Bal Janata Secondary School building in Lamahi Municipality, Dang, was constructed at a cost of NRs. 17.60 million with financial assistance from Indian government.
Ratna Bahadur Khatri, the Lumbini Province’s minister of social development, Nityananda Sharma, chief of district coordination committee, Jogaraj Chaudhary, the mayor of the Lamahi Municipality, and Avinash Kumar Singh, the first secretary of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, conducted the joint inauguration.
Furthermore, the Indian government provided financial support for the construction of the Shree Padmodaya Public Model Secondary School building in Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City, Dang, at a tendered cost of NRs. 28.70 million.
“Political representatives, government officials, social workers, representatives of the school management, teachers, parents and students were also present on this occasion,” the embassy stated.
At Shree Bal Janata Secondary School in Lamahi Municipality, the Indian government’s grant under the “Nepal-India Development Cooperation” was used to establish a double-story school building, laboratories, and other facilities.
Additionally, the grant was used to create a double-story school building at Shree Padmodaya Public Secondary School in Ghorahi Sub Metropolitan City, Dang, along with other facilities.
