Kriti Sanon
Actress Kriti Sanon expressed her delight on Thursday at the idea of her next movie “Adipurush” bringing the Hindu classic Ramayana to the big screen for the current age.
The performer, who portrays Janaki (Sita) in the high-profile historical drama directed by Om Raut, posted footage of children expecting the movie on her official Instagram account.
“As a child, the impact of visuals is a lot more than that of stories we hear. Our Visual memory is stronger and stays with us longer.
I’m so happy that these lil ones and today’s generation is getting to watch Ramayana on the big screen (sic)” she captioned her post.
Highlighting the Ramayana as a vital element of Hindu culture and values, Sanon stated that we must pass this (on) to every generation.” The “Mimi” star also urged parents to take their children along to watch “Adipurush”, slated to be released globally on Friday.
The multilingual film, which stars “Baahubali” actor Prabhas, is anticipating a strong opening weekend at the box office. Industry insiders anticipate that the movie might earn more than Rs 80 crore on its first day of release and compare its pre-release buzz to Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan.”
Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, and Saif Ali Khan are also featured in “Adipurush.”
