TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu was provided home-cooked food, a special room by a court for his fortnight stay in jail.
The amenities were given because the former CM is Z-plus category security protectee. Superintendent of Rajamahendravaram central prison was directed by ACB court to give a separate room to Naidu on suspicion of threat to his life.
As per the judge, “The superintendent of central prison is directed to provide all the special amenities including food (cooked at home), medication, special room in central prison to petitioner/A37 (Naidu).”
He further added, “This is an authorisation to you (superintendent), to detain Naidu in custody, and to cause him to be produced before the Court on the 22nd day of September, 2023 at 10.30 am.”
ACB court ordered to keep Naidu in judicial custody for 14 days in view of his alleged involvement in multi-crore Skill Development Corporation scam on Saturday. Former CM was taken to Rajamahendravaram from Vijayawada covering a distance of in a convoy on a road amid tight security. He was arrested by CID at nearly 6am on Saturday in a marriage hall at Gnanapuram in Nandyala.
Taking to twitter on his father’s arrest Nara Lokesh said, “My anger simmers, and my blood boils. Is there no limit to the depths political vendetta will sink? Why must a man of my father’s calibre, who has accomplished so much for his country, state, and Telugu people, endure such injustice?”
