Social media has engulfed our lives to a great extent. Many influencers are emerging these days who are making reels on Instagram to get into the public eye. But this case has even left the internet stunned. A couple from West Bengal has allegedly sold their 8 month old son to buy an iPhone. Supposedly, the couple did this heinous crime to shoot reels with that Iphone. How far can a person go for just fame on a social media platform? There is no limit it seems.
There was something wrong with the 8 Month Old son
The couple is identified as Jaydev and Sathi. They have two children – a 7-year-old girl and an 8 month old son. Their younger child went missing all of a sudden while the couple had an iPhone that appeared from nowhere. Actually, the couple is a resident of Panihati Gandhinagar area. They could not even afford the bare minimum for themselves. Seeing such an expensive such as Iphone gave rise to suspicion. On top of this, the couple started visiting different places in the state to shoot reels.

The confession
Looking at all the above-mentioned things going on, the neighborhood questioned the couple. The couple finally revealed the fact that they exchanged their innocent 8 month old for the iPhone. Police although has rescued the child from the woman who had the child.
After selling the boy, Jaydev also tried to sell the girl on Saturday at midnight. We inform the police as soon as we understood it. Police arrested Javdev,” said local councilor Tarak Guha.
Finally, the child is safe but the investigation is still on. The police authorities are having a look at this case from multiple sides. This case is not as simple as it seems. The woman who bought the baby is identified as Priyanka.
