He paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and will perform group Yoga session in North lawn at the Yoga event, which will be led by him. U.N. General Assembly President Csaba Korösi, Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, many other diplomats and U.N. officials are expected to attend the event.

People chanted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’at UN
Ahead of Yoga Day event, people chanted Bharat Mata ki Jai at the UN Headquarters lawns in New York. Dignitaries like Richard Gere, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Digital evangelist Vala Afshar, award-winning storyteller Jay Shetty, Indian chef and restaurateur Vikas Khanna and Grammy award winner Ricky Kej will be attending the International Yoga Day Event.
PM Modi virtually addressed the G20 Tourism Ministers’ Meeting
PM Modi has virtually addressed the G20 Tourism Ministers’ Meeting in Goa on Wednesday where he remarked on terrorism, tourism and India’s aim to preserve its cultural heritage and build world class heritage for the tourism sector. PM Modi arrived in New York on Tuesday afternoon for his historic US state visit.
