Heavy rainfall from Cyclone Arnab caused severe floods and landslides in southern Odisha. The disaster affected thousands and damaged homes, roads and paddy fields.
Floodwaters washed away roads and bridges, cutting off several areas. People remained stranded in Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
Teams from ODRAF, Odisha Fire Services and the NDRF are conducting rescue and relief operations.
