Anupam Mittal, a judge on Shark Tank India, made stir on social media when he posted about the Cannes Film Festival. Recognized for his direct comments, Mr. Mittal said regarding the accessibility of the event, suggesting that it is now available to everybody.
On his X account (formerly Twitter), Mr Mittal hinted that Cannes was once exclusive, “There was a time only the super-famous could but these days anybody Canne ”
Despite the fact that Mr. Mittal remained anonymous, there were rumors that he was criticizing Namita Thapar, a fellow Shark Tank India judge.
A user asked, “Who are you taking a dig at? next time tag pls”
Another user commented, “The definition of who is considered to be famous has drastically changed, Maybe that’s why!”
“You are right. On coming years you will see chhapris , called themselves youtubers/influencer will also take part of it. Now it lost it’s quality and people are not selected because of good recognition,” the third user wrote.
Namita Thapar, meanwhile, made to Cannes when she showed up to the “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” premiere wearing a stunning green gown.
In an interview, Ms. Thapar expressed her excitement for her Cannes debut, focusing in particular on the distinctive color of her dress. She joked that she was worried about how she would manage the lengthy train ride on the red carpet. After making a stunning appearance, Ms. Thapar posted pictures to Instagram, allowing her followers to see a little bit of her time in Cannes.
Delhi-based fashion designer Nancy Tyagi, who was notable for her genuineness at Cannes. She received appreciation for remaining loyal to her heritage when she talked in Hindi and donned a self-stitched gown during an interview.
