In a heneious crime in the subway train of NewYork city, a man sets a women ablaze, resulting in her death.  The accused reportedly stayed during the incident that occurred around Sunday morning around 7:30 when train approached the stillwell avenue station in Brooklyn.

Describing the attack, NewYork Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch said, “As the train pulled into the station, the suspect calmly walked up to the victim, who was seated at the end of a subway car. Using what we believe to be a lighter, the suspect ignited the victim’s clothing, which became fully engulfed in flames within seconds.”

The incident was unvealed when the patroling officers at the upper level of station noticed smoke.

“With the assistance of an MTA employee and a fire extinguisher, the flames were extinguished, but unfortunately, it was too late, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” Tisch said.

Intrestingly, the suspect remained on the crime scene as officers found him sitting on a platform bench outside the train car.

“After the NYPD released images of the suspect, three high school students called 911, identifying him,” Tisch added.

The suspect was later arrested as officers found lighter in his pocket. Notbaly, accused is an immigrant from Guatemala, who entered US from Arizona, However,  his immigration status is not clear and being examined.

The incident drew widespread condemnation. Tech billionaire Elon Musk posted on X, “Enough is enough.”
