Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel has killed a large number of Hezbollah members, numerically thousands. Hashem Safieddine is one of the killed, who was expected to succeed the group’s current leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
In a video message to the people of Lebanon, Netanyahu told them to “liberate” their country from Hezbollah. He accused the group of intensifying Lebanon’s ongoing financial crisis.
