Vande Bharat Express New Look Revealed, Read Here To Know More

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Saturday that the Vande Bharat Express’s new color will be saffron, inspired by the Indian national flag. The new color was revealed during a review meeting of the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.

Vaishnaw said that the new color will be implemented on the 28th rake of the Vande Bharat Express, which is being manufactured at the ICF.

The brand-new saffron Vande Bharat Express is currently stationed at the ICF and is not yet operational. The train is currently being tested and will be commissioned in the coming months. Vande Bharat Express has 25 rakes operating on their designated routes. These include the routes New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Katra, and Mumbai-Ahmedabad. Two Vande Bharat Express rakes have been reserved for future use. “The color of this 28th rake is being tested,” railway officials said.

According to Vaishnaw, 25 improvements have been made to the Vande Bharat trains. “This is a Make In India concept, which means it was designed in India by our own engineers and technicians. So, whatever feedback we receive from field units about ACs, toilets, and so on during the operation of Vande Bharat, all of those improvements are used to make changes to the design” In a press conference, Ashwini Vaishnaw stated.

The minister also proceeded over the status of the Vande Bharat Express. During the review, he talked about a new safety feature called “anti-climbers” or “anti-climbing devices,” which will be standard in all Vande Bharat and other trains. Anti-climbers are devices installed on the sides of trains to keep people from climbing on board. They are made of metal bars or chains that are closely spaced, making it difficult for passengers to climb aboard.

In the coming months, the anti-climbers are expected to be installed on all Vande Bharat Express trains. The devices are expected to improve train safety and prevent people from boarding without tickets.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated two new and upgraded versions of the Vande Bharat Express trains, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow and Jodhpur-Sabarmati routes, at Gorakhpur Station in Uttar Pradesh. This brings the total number of Vande Bharat Express services in operation across the country.

The Vande Bharat Express, which officially launched in 2019, is a semi-high-speed train. With a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour, it is India’s fastest train.
