AirAsia CEO Sits Shirtless
Tony Fernandes, the chief executive officer of AirAsia, posted on the social media site LinkedIn to express his gratitude for the company’s flexible work environment, which enables him to receive a massage and participate in management meetings simultaneously. He also uploaded a photo of himself attending a meeting while receiving a massage while sitting shirtless in a conference room. However, many internet users have criticized his message because they felt it was “inappropriate” and have voiced their opinions in large numbers.
He stated, “Was a stressful week, and Veranita Yosephine suggested a massage,” in the caption. I must adore Indonesia and the AirAsia culture to be able to have a massage while attending a management meeting.
“We are moving along quickly, and I have just completed the Capital A structure. The days ahead are exciting. We are proud of what we have accomplished and have never lost sight of the goal, he continued.
The post has received 576 likes and a number of comments since it was published on the network.
“The chief executive of a publicly traded firm, a grown man, has a management meeting while receiving a massage. It is still incorrect even if you remove the phrase “who is the chief executive of a publicly listed company,” a user commented.
Work at AirAsia, where meetings are as disgusting as our customer service, said a second worker. Everything from excessive entitlement to model C Suite tone deafness has been captured in one picture, thanks to you. Bravo!”
“I’m going to assume that this meeting took place long after the workday was over and most of the office was empty (except a few C-level), but at least put on a shirt for the photo,” said another individual.
“I hope not, but I think someone hacked into his LI and wrote this,” said an individual.

Yes, perhaps this isn’t the ideal method to demonstrate the workplace culture. Don’t think that you are conveying the message that you hoped you would, a user commented.
A sixth individual said, “Tony, when you said Air Asia had an open culture, I didn’t expect it to be THIS open.”
Several users praised the CEO for his “impressive work” as well.
