A man is accused of befriending a married woman and repeatedly raping her in Palghar area of Maharashtra. He also recorded the acts and then shared the video on different social media platforms.
On Monday, law enforcement took action by filing a case against the accused man and his two accomplices under a number of pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code, such as section 376(2)(n) which deals with repeatedly raping the same person, as well as provisions of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
The victim bravely went to the police with her complaint after seeing the video. It’s significant to note that no arrests have been made in relation to this upsetting case as of yet. Victim’s identity has not been revealed as per Supreme Court directives on sexual harassment cases to protect her privacy.
