The monsoon has completely withdrawn from Delhi-NCR, bringing a noticeable change in weather conditions across the region. With rainfall ending, clear skies and bright sunshine have returned, while mornings and evenings have started to feel mildly cooler.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi will experience dry and sunny weather on Saturday, with no rain or drizzle expected across the city.
The region is likely to remain in the green zone for weather conditions.
Winds will blow at around 20-22 kmph during the day, keeping temperatures from rising sharply. Westerly winds will slow to around 15 kmph during the evening and night.
Recent rainfall in Delhi-NCR and neighbouring areas has lowered maximum and minimum temperatures, bringing a slight chill to the air. People stepping outdoors during the morning and late evening are likely to feel the cooler conditions.
The IMD has forecast a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius in Delhi. Similar dry and sunny conditions are expected from October 3 to 5, with no significant weather change forecast during the period.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category. AQI readings included 154 at Mandir Marg, 149 at Aya Nagar, 186 at Punjabi Bagh, 191 at CRRI Mathura Road, 190 at Pusa, 173 at Sirifort and 167 at IGI Airport (T3).
Other monitoring stations recorded AQI levels of 163 at NSIT Dwarka, 173 at Burari Crossing, 198 at Alipur, 189 at RK Puram, 143 at Anand Vihar, 193 at Mundka, 188 at Rohini and 133 at Patparganj.
The weather outlook indicates continued dry conditions across Delhi-NCR, while cooler mornings and evenings signal the gradual seasonal transition following the monsoon’s withdrawal.
