SC pulled up the Ajit Pawar camp for allegedly exploiting the name and images of the NCP founder Sharad Pawar in their campaigning efforts.

In the electoral bonds case, the head of the bar association pleaded with Ms. Murmu to request a presidential reference so that the entire process could be repeated and full justice could be served.

The apex court also directed SBI to submit details of electoral bonds purchased since April 12, 2019, by March 6.

Madras High Court dismissed the proceedings against a 28-year-old man who was accused of downloading child porn content on his mobile phone.

A bench of Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta, however, ordered expunging certain remarks and observations made against the state government and the police in the March 5 order of the high court.

The bench said," SBI is directed to disclose the details by the close of business hours of March 12."

The bench had previously directed the State Bank of India to provide details on each electoral bond encashed by political parties before the scheme's recent cancellation.

In addition to the plea seeking an extended deadline, the bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud will also address a separate petition seeking contempt action against SBI in the same case.

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud disclosed that he had received a letter expressing objection to the exclusion of visually impaired candidates from the Madhya Pradesh judiciary.

The Supreme Court, in the midst of deliberating the dispute between Shiva Sena (UBT) and the Shinde group, has set the next hearing date for April 8.
