Reiterating that there was no systematic breach in NEET-UG 2024 exam except Patna and Jharkhand's Hazaribagh, Supreme Court declined to order re-test in the exam.

The Supreme Court has emphasized the need for factual evidence to support the claims of a paper leak and has questioned the statistical significance of the alleged irregularities.

The arrests follow the earlier detention of Pankaj Kumar, a civil engineer, for allegedly stealing the NEET-UG paper from the NTA trunk in Hazaribagh.

The CBI has registered multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) and arrested nearly 60 individuals in connection with the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam.

Over a dozen individuals, including the principal and vice-principal of a school in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, have been arrested thus far in connection with what is being investigated as a nationwide racket involving the leaking of question papers for competitive exams like NEET.

The counsel pointed out inconsistencies in the NTA’s statements regarding the leak. While the NTA described the leak as minimal, the CBI is actively investigating six cases, with FIRs filed in Patna, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand.

National Testing Agency has filed its reply after the Supreme Court notice in the NEET-UG 2024 scam case

The NEET saga has not only affected aspiring medical professionals but has also become a focal point of national debate and political contention, reflecting broader issues within India's educational assessment and governance framework.

The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing in two weeks regarding allegations of tampering with OMR sheets in the NEET-UG 2024 exam.

Members of Parliament (MPs) from Opposition parties, including the Congress, moved adjournment motions demanding discussion on the issues in both the Houses, a demand that was rejected.
