The Supreme Court granted bail to Delhi CM Kejriwal in connection with the ongoing investigation into the alleged liquor policy scandal.

A local court has extended Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody until 25 September 2024 in the liquor policy scam investigation.

The Supreme Court is expected to rule on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's bail request in the alleged liquor policy scam on Thursday.

The Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently detained in Tihar Jail.

Charge sheet filed by the ED against Arvind Kejriwal and others, a total of 38 individuals have been named as accused.

The charge sheet cites Sharad Reddy's statement, indicating that besides the alleged ₹100 crore, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia also solicited funds for the Goa and Punjab assembly elections.

Kejriwal, who has been in custody since April 1, faced a critical health incident during his court appearance due to severely low blood sugar levels.

Kejriwal's lawyer also pointed out that the entire case relied on statements from witnesses who were arrested earlier and promised bail.

ASG SV In his ED appearance, Raju referred to Kejriwal's weight loss claim as untrue. He had claimed that Kejriwal weighed 65 kg when he was released from prison, having weighed 64 kg when he entered.

The Chief Justice of India will make a decision over Kejriwal's application listing, according to the vacation bench consisting of Justices JK Maheshwari and KV Viswanathan.
