Netizens Shaken By Video Of Chinese Woman Using Rice Cooker On High-Speed Train

A video circulating on Chinese social media has created a mix of astonishment and laughter as it shows a lady preparing rice on a high-speed train. A fellow traveler captured the woman sitting near her husband, with a rice cooker on the tray table in front of them. While conversing, the woman uses a spoon to dish cooked rice into plastic bowls.

Surrounding passengers were taken aback and perplexed by this unusual sight. The couple continues their supper and discussion, oblivious to the attention they’re receiving.

The couple was able to power their rice cooker using an electrical outlet that is normally used to charge phones and laptops.

On trains, China Railway has banned the use of high-powered electrical equipment and potentially harmful devices including rice cookers, hot-water bottles, and kettles.

The tale rapidly went viral on Douyin, with the video collecting over 24,000 comments.

One user commented, “She dares to cook rice this time. Will she make a hotpot next time? An unbelievable woman”.

The second user commented, “It’s very dangerous. If everyone cooks, what would happen?”

The third user commented, “Is it possible that she brought a rice cooker with cooked rice?”
