Mental health is the main component of our health and well-being. Good Mental Health is essential to burst the stress. Distorted mental health can ruin physical health as well. Our thoughts, feelings, behaviour, and emotions all are connected to each other and form our existence.

Adopting a sedentary lifestyle makes it hard for us to manage daily problems and emotional stress. To lead a happy, healthy and peaceful life it is vital to learn how to cope with stress.

Good sleep

Sleep is when our body is at rest and charging itself. It is not even possible for electronic devices like mobile to operate without charge, how can our bodies? A restful sleep, particularly night one, enables us to handle stress, regulate thoughts and leave us energized. Ideal sleep duration varies for different age groups.

An adult requires a sleep of 7 to 8 hours to rest recover and store energy for daily operations. Sleeping only is not enough. Sleeping in cool, dark and quiet areas has a positive effect on our energy level and mood. Sleep becomes integral in the process to burst the stress.

It could be a good idea to sequester yourself when you’re upset and anxious. Instead, establish social relationships and get in touch with loved ones. A single supportive friend can have a significant impact.

Social interaction can help you cope with life’s ups and downs, provide support, and function as a distraction, all of which can be effective stress relievers. Thus, go to your house of worship, email a relative, or get a coffee with a buddy.

Healthy Food

We are what we eat. Types of food have a great effect on our personality and well-being. A balanced and curated diet can change the game to burst the stress.  Good food not just strengthens our immune system it provides us with the extra energy required to handle and regulate stress.

Vegetables and polyunsaturated fat may aid the regulation of cortisol levels.
