PM Modi said that if any country gives us information, we will look into it. If any citizen of India has done something right or wrong, we are ready to pay attention to it. Our commitment is to the rule of law.
Indian citizen was accused of conspiracy to murder
Let us tell you that recently Nikhil Gupta was accused by America of conspiring to murder Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, General Counsel of Khalistani terrorist and separatist organization Sikh for Justice. Due to which there was a stir from India to America. It was believed that after these allegations there could be a rift in the relations between the two countries.
Attempt to spread violence in the name of freedom of expression
The PM gave an interview to the British newspaper Financial Times. In which PM Modi had said that some extremist groups hiding abroad are engaged in intimidation and inciting violence in the name of freedom of expression. PM Modi had also said during the interview that security and anti-terrorism cooperation has been a major part of the partnership between the two countries. Therefore, I do not think it is right to link some incidents with the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

There cannot be complete agreement in all matters- PM
PM Modi further said that “We need to accept that we are living in the era of multilateralism, the world is not only interconnected but also dependent on each other. This reality compels us that there cannot be complete agreement in all cases for cooperation towards others.”
Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta accused of conspiracy
Let us tell you that the US Justice Department had alleged that Nikhil Gupta, a 52-year-old Indian citizen, who is an employee of the Government of India, had conspired to murder a resident of New York City. However, the US Justice Department had not mentioned the name of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu anywhere.
