Navratri: Kalash Staphna Done As Per Rituals In Historical Maa Bhadrakali Temple, Crowd Of Devotees Gathered To Worship

Kalash staphna was done with full rituals in the historical Maa Bhadrakali temple complex of Chatra district of Jharkhand in Chaitra Navratri. During this time, Mother’s court kept resonating with praises of Mother of World. On the first day of Chaitra Navratri, a large number of devotees reached to offer prayers. Before Kalash staphna of Chaitra Navratri in temple premises, early morning worship of Goddess Bhadrakali was done. The idol of Mata was decorated in the form of Shailputri, the first form of Maa Durga. After which Maha Aarti of Mata was performed with ghee lamps and camphor. At the time of Shringaar Puja, every pore of the devotees present in the temple premises was thrilled by the chanting of mantras by the priests.

After Shringar Puja, the Kalash staphna was done in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple by Maa Bhadrakali Temple Management Committee. On the first day of Navratri, a large number of devotees reached the temple premises to worship Maa Bhadrakali temple of Itkhori, the meeting place of three religions. Along with local devotees, devotees from far away places also worshiped Goddess Bhadrakali on this auspicious day. Temple priest Nageshwar Tiwari told that this year the rituals of Chaitra Navratri are starting from April 09 in Maa Bhadrakali temple. After worshiping various forms of Mother Goddess for nine days, Chaitra Navratri will be completed on 18th April with Kalash immersion and Havan. This year, the Sandhi Bali of Chaitra Navratri will be performed in the temple on 17th April in the evening. According to tradition, vegetarian sacrifice will be offered to Mother Bhadrakali.

Not only this, there is a rush of devotees to worship in the temples established in different blocks of the district during Navratri which started with the Kalash staphna. Thousands of devotees were seen reaching the temples and marking the presence of Mata Rani. The faith of the devotees can be gauged from the fact that from three o’clock in the morning, devotees started flocking to the temples for worship.
