Fatal Road Accident in Pratapgarh Claims Three Lives, Dozens Injured

A major road accident has occurred in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in three fatalities and injuries to more than two dozen passengers. The injured have been admitted to the hospital, and the police have reached the spot to conduct an investigation after taking possession of the deceased bodies.

The accident took place when a bus carrying devotees to Vindhyachal overturned after colliding with a truck near Phulmati of Hathigwan in Kunda on the Prayagraj-Lucknow Highway. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m.

The private bus, carrying about four dozen devotees from Unnao to Vindhyachal Dham, collided with a truck coming from the front, resulting in the overturning of the bus near Phoolmati of Hathigwan on the Lucknow-Prayagraj Highway.

The sudden accident caused panic among the passengers, prompting the police and local residents to rush to the spot and assist in evacuating everyone from the bus. The injured were brought to Kunda CHC for treatment.

Among the deceased are Sandhya, a 12-year-old daughter of Ramnarayan from Dhata, Unnao, Krishna Kumar (50), and Vasu (32). Ten seriously injured individuals have been referred to Prayagraj, while more than a dozen injured are receiving treatment in Kunda.
