A Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, woman named Suman Devi climbed an electric pole in the area when her extramarital affair came to light. According to reports, the 35-year-old mother of three had an affair with a young man for seven years. She threatened to take her own life when her spouse disapproved of their relation.
The woman reportedly attempted suicide multiple times after her husband disapproved of her affair with a young man from a nearby village, according to stories in the local media. She is said to have attempted suicide by jumping from a building’s fifth story approximately a month ago. She had already tried to kill herself by running to the railroad tracks.
Actually, the couple got into a furious fight after her affair was discovered, during which the woman demanded that the other man be permitted to live in their house and make financial contributions. Ram Govind quickly fled the premises after objecting to the proposition.
When the woman climbed the electric pole, which was documented on camera and extensively shared online. She was encircled by high-tension wires and others were staring at her in despair, pleading with her to come down.
Local Gorakhpur authorities responded quickly to the situation, sending personnel from the power and police departments to the location. The electricity supply was turned off as a precaution, and attempts were made to talk to the woman to bring her out of her dangerous situation. The officials persuaded the woman to come down safely.
