Tennis Player Radhika Yadav Shot Dead By Father In Their Gurugram Home

A father shot dead his own daughter in Gurugram’s Shushant Lok on Thursday. The victim, Radhika Yadav, was identified as a 25-year-old state-level tennis player.

The incident took place at 10:30 AM on the first floor of Radhika’s family residence in Sector 57 of Gurugram, Haryana.

According to media reports citing police, the father hurled 5 bullets at his daughter, and three hit her. The Gurgram Police arrested the man.

“We got information from the hospital that a 25-year-old woman had died. She suffered three bullet injuries. We met the woman’s uncle, but he did not say anything. Then we went to the incident spot where we got to know that the woman’s father had fired at her,” the report quoted Gurugram Sector 56 police station in-charge.

As per the reports, the father was uncomfortable with his daughter’s addiction to Instagram reels and shot his daughter in rage.

Radhika Yadav ranked 113th in the International Tennis Federation’s ranking as a doubles tennis player.

Born on March 23, 2000, Radhika maintained her rank within the top 200 in the ITF doubles.
