India Post Confirms No Such Requests
The official India Post account confirmed that it does not send SMS messages requesting customers to update their addresses. It also clarified that it never asks for updates via external links. Users should treat any such messages claiming urgent action as fraudulent.
Authorities advise users to avoid clicking on suspicious links, as they can compromise personal information or lead to phishing attacks.
PIB highlighted that tracking and delivery details should only be verified through official India Post channels. Customers can check their shipment status on the official website https://indiapost.gov.in or contact customer service for assistance.
The advisory reminds users to remain vigilant. It also urges them to verify information before taking any action on messages that appear urgent or suspicious.
By following these precautions, recipients can avoid falling victim to scams while ensuring their deliveries remain secure.
