Dream project launched by Railways to educate children’s living near railway tracks

In Prayagraj division Bharat Scouts and Guides and Dreams Weavers Association (RDWA) have signed the MoU.

The lives of people living near railway track  for years is going to change by the efforts of  North Central Railway which has now taken up the responsibility of changing the lifestyle.

The main  aim behind this effort is to render education   especially in the children. To provide education and good life to the dying childhood, for which a  scheme under Bharat Rail Vidya Fellowship has also been prepared .

In Prayagraj division Bharat Scouts and Guides and Dreams Weavers Association (RDWA) have signed the MoU. In fact, in most cities, thousands of people live in a nomadic way by building houses around the railway tracks. Children living here are unable to pursue education and their childhood is spent in darkness. In such a situation, Railways has taken this initiative to bring change in the lives of children living near the railway tracks.

The Prayagraj division of has selected five major cities in the first phase. The cities selected are Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Kanpur, Tundla and Aligarh.

Joint teams of Bharat Scouts and Guides and Dreams Weavers Association under the leadership of Railway employees of Prayagraj Division will first prepare a list of people living near the railway tracks. After this, children will be admitted to schools according to their age. For small children, classes will be held near their homes.

Details of family income will be collected. They will be given employment opportunities and information. Sick family members will be taken to the hospital and treated. They will be motivated towards cleanliness and will be given items of daily use. A track marked teams will be deployed.

This  project was  finalized in the presence of RDWA Director Mamta Sisodia, Founder Sagar Sisodia, Anindya Raina and  Sonakshi Arora, Himanshu Badoni, DRM ,Sanjay Singh, ADRM , Abhishek , Mamta Rani Srivastava.
