Vijay crosses the 1 million mark in 99 minutes
The actor is known for breaking box office records, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he also broke records on social media with his presence. Vijay reached the one million follower mark on Instagram just a few hours after starting his account. For the uninitiated, the well-known boy band from South Korea known as BTS holds the record for the quickest time to reach one million followers. They did so in 43 minutes, beating out Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, who holds the record at 59 minutes. Vijay became the third celebrity in 99 minutes to accomplish this feat.
