The European Space Agency (ESA) released an enthralling video of a lake of lava spewing vivid blue on Saturday.
The clip was released as a part of an episode dedicated to Halloween. Referring to it as the "most eerie location on Earth"
The woman in the video identifies the scene as being in East Java, Indonesia's Kawah Ijen Lake. It's an acidic volcanic crater that shoots blue flames.
Because of a high concentration of minerals and sulfuric acid, which also give the lake its gorgeous blue-green colour.
The renowned blue flames of Kawah Ijen are among the site's most amazing natural features.
Sulfuric gases seeping out of the volcanic crater's fissures light these unsettling blue flames, producing a bizarre evening show.
At this magnificent volcano in the far east of the island of Java, the gases burn day and night, but their distinctive blue colour is only visible after nightfall.
During the day, the traditional miners risk the extremely dangerous vapours in order to remove massive chunks of sulphur from the crater's borders, which is a beautiful turquoise lake.
Local manufacturers purchase the sulphur and use it to refine sugar, make medications, and make matches.
