Delhi is preparing to witness an electrifying burst of sound, aroma and cultural colour as the 15th National Street Food Festival 2025 transforms Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium into a grand cultural theatre from December 12 to 14.
The capital’s winter chill will give way to a blazing sensory celebration powered by the soul-stirring voice of Kailash Kher and the international charm of Sri Lankan pop icon Yohani, whose Manike Mage Hithe became a global sensation.
NASVI’s 25th anniversary has amplified the festival’s scale and ambition. Visitors entering through Gate No 14 will feel as though India has arrived in its entirety, carrying its spices, textures and stories.
More than 500 vendors from 27 states and Union Territories will present their signature dishes, creating a panorama of aromas that binds nostalgia with discovery.
The festival’s charm lies in elevating everyday street food into a cultural canvas. The hiss of a hot tawa, the bubbling of dal, and the earthy perfume of desi ghee create a rhythmic symphony that warms the capital’s cold nights.

Visitors come not just to taste food but to witness the resilience, artistry and heritage of the vendors who define India’s culinary soul. The inclusion of delicacies from Nepal, Tibet, Afghanistan and the Philippines expands the festival into an Asian culinary summit.
Every region arrives with its full identity. Odisha brings the warmth of ragi chakuli and chhena poda, while Rajasthan delivers the richness of dal baati churma, mooli halwa and garlic kheer. Gujarat showcases both comfort and innovation through dabeli, locho and chicken khow suey.
Three-day cultural extravaganza unfolds
Uttar Pradesh, however, emerges as the emotional core with Ayodhya’s kulhad kachori, Banaras’ tomato chaat and Lucknow’s legendary malaiyyo and galawati kebabs.
Northeast India promises to surprise visitors with bamboo delicacies, Naga and Sikkimese momos, thaipo and Meghalaya’s jadoh. South India brings a full peninsula of flavours, from bamboo biryani to Malabari parotta, while Goa’s cafreal and ros omelette add the irresistible fragrance of coastal life.
The musical line-up elevates the festival from a national celebration to a global cultural spectacle. Kailash Kher’s powerful, spiritual energy will flow seamlessly through the winter air, blending with the aromas around the stadium.
