Bollywood Star Jackie Shroff Pays Homage To Legendary Actor Dilip Kumar On 103rd Birth Anniversary

Jackie Shroff paid tribute to the late Dilip Kumar on Thursday, marking the iconic actor’s 103rd birth anniversary. He posted a monochrome image from the 1958 film Madhumati, showing Dilip Kumar performing in ‘Dil Tadap Tadap Ke’, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Mukesh.

Director Bimal Roy’s Madhumati featured Vyjayanthimala, Pran, and Johnny Walker in pivotal roles. The storyline follows Anand, a modern man, who falls in love with a tribal woman named Madhumati.

Their romance faces obstacles, eventually leading to a supernatural conclusion. Shroff captioned his post: ‘Always in our hearts #dilipkumar’.

Icon Dilip Kumar led Hindi cinema from the 1950s into the 1960s, acting in 57 films across a career of over fifty years. He debuted in Jwar Bhata in 1944 and starred in numerous top-grossing hits, including Shaheed, Andaz, Babul, Deedar, Aan, Uran Khatola, Insaniyat, Azaad, Naya Daur, Madhumati, Paigham, Kohinoor, Mughal-E-Azam, Gunga Jumna, and Ram Aur Shyam.
