BJP Envisions NDA Sweep as Speculations Rise Over Nitish Kumar’s Alliance Choices

BJP MLA suggests that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could secure all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.

Patna: A BJP MLA, Gyanendra Singh Gyanu, has suggested that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could secure all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar if JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar forms an alliance with the JP Nadda-led party. This statement comes amid speculations that Nitish Kumar might break ties with ally RJD and join forces with the BJP.

The BJP MLA mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a positive opinion of Nitish Kumar, and he believes that everything will be resolved within two days. He expressed confidence in a change occurring and a decision being made within the BJP, stating that Nitish Kumar is also prepared for this move. According to him, if Nitish Kumar joins the NDA, they could win all 40 seats in Bihar, leading to an NDA government in the state.

Another BJP MLA, Tarkishore Prasad, emphasized that in politics, opportunities are always present. He mentioned a recent meeting of Bihar BJP leaders to discuss Lok Sabha elections, asserting that the central leadership of the party would make decisions in the interest of Bihar.

While there are discussions and uncertainties, the Congress and RJD, Nitish Kumar’s partners in the INDIA bloc, express hope that he will remain with the Bihar Mahagathbandhan. Congress leader Prem Chandra Mishra is confident that Nitish Kumar will stay with the INDIA alliance, aiming to remove the BJP from power. RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari assures that all is well within the Bihar government, despite attempts to destabilize it.

Nitish Kumar, who previously defeated the BJP in the 2015 assembly elections in alliance with the RJD, later joined the NDA. In 2022, he broke away from the NDA and formed a government with Lalu Yadav’s party, joining the Mahagathbandhan. JD(U) leaders claim that everything is well within the INDIA bloc, and Nitish Kumar’s recent comments about “dynasty politics” were not aimed at the RJD.
