At least six people were killed and 15 others injured in multiple US airstrikes across Yemen on Tuesday, according to Houthi-run al-Masirah TV and local health authorities.
The majority of the casualties occurred in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, where US airstrikes targeted a residential neighborhood in the Amin Muqbil district.
The attack killed six people and injured 13 others. Additionally, airstrikes on a farm in Dhamar province injured two more individuals.
US Airstrikes Target Telecommunications And Infrastructure
The airstrikes also targeted telecommunications infrastructure in the western-central province of Amran and the central province of Ibb, according to reports from local residents and Houthi television.
Civil Defence teams are currently working to extinguish fires at the targeted facilities.
US Intensifies Military Campaign Against Houthi Forces
The United States intensified its military campaign against Houthi forces in Yemen on Tuesday, conducting a total of 50 airstrikes across various regions.
The US military has yet to comment on the recent airstrikes, but previous statements have indicated that the strikes will continue daily until the Houthis cease their attacks on commercial vessels and US warships operating in the Red Sea.
Earlier Strikes Target Key Areas In Yemen
Earlier on Tuesday, the United States launched 22 airstrikes targeting Houthi sites in northern Yemen.
These strikes targeted eastern and southern areas of the capital, Sanaa, the Island of Kamaran in the Red Sea, and the oil-rich Marib province, according to reports from Houthi-run al-Masirah TV and local residents.
The ongoing US military campaign in Yemen reflects the escalating conflict between the US-backed coalition and the Houthi rebels, with no immediate resolution in sight.
