United States And Israel Say Hackers With Iranian Connections May Impact Several Industries

The United States and Israel issued a joint advisory to highlight what they called harmful cyber activities linked to Iran that might have an impact on a variety of businesses, including US-based water infrastructure, energy, and food.

According to agencies such as the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Israel National Cyber Directorate, hackers linked with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have been targeting Unitronics programmable-logic controllers.

In a statement, the agencies stated that since November 22, IRGC-affiliated actors calling themselves ‘CyberAv3ngers’ have hijacked Unitronics devices, sending a message that says “You have been hacked, down with Israel”.
