President-elect Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Hamas, demanding the release of all hostages held in Gaza before his inauguration on January 20. Speaking at a news conference in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, he said, “If those hostages aren’t back by the time I get into office, all hell will break out in the Middle East.”
Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steven Charles Witkoff, revealed that negotiations are advancing. “I believe we’re on the verge of a breakthrough,” he said. Witkoff credited Trump’s strong stance and reputation for driving the discussions. He noted that talks in Doha are progressing well, and he plans to return there to finalize the deal.
Witkoff remained optimistic about reaching a resolution before the inauguration. “The President’s expectations and red lines are clear, and we’re making great progress,” he added.
Hostage Crisis At Center Stage
Trump reiterated his firm stance, warning Hamas against any delay. “They should have returned the hostages long ago. The October 7 attack was horrific, and many lives were lost,” he said. He also shared emotional stories from families seeking help to recover loved ones, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
The President-elect commended Witkoff for his efforts while reaffirming his own position. “If this deal isn’t done before I take office, all hell will break out,” Trump stated firmly.
The negotiation efforts aim to secure the release of American and Israeli hostages, with Trump vowing decisive action if progress stalls.
