Prime Minister Modi Bids Farewell To France, Embarks On His Journey’s Next Tranche To Abu Dhabi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi bid farewell to Paris on Friday, concluding a successful visit that marked a new chapter in the relationship between India and France. On Saturday, he embarked on the next tranche of his journey to Abu Dhabi, following a memorable two-day visit during which both countries outlined their vision for the future of their strategic partnership.

As Prime Minister Modi boarded the plane for Abu Dhabi, he expressed his gratitude to President Emmanuel Macron and the French people for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. He remarked on the significance of his participation in the Bastille Day celebrations and expressed joy at seeing the Indian contingent receiving a place of pride in the parade.

Throughout his visit, the Prime Minister engaged in meetings with various stakeholders in France to assess and strengthen the strategic ties between the two nations. He was also honoured with the highest civilian and military accolade in France, the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour.

The discussions between Prime Minister Modi and President Macron encompassed a wide range of areas for cooperation, including defense, clean energy, innovation, and cultural exchange. With the adoption of the “Horizon 2047 Roadmap,” India and France established a shared vision for the future, aiming to enhance their robust relationship and contribute to a better world together. Prime Minister Modi expressed enthusiasm for deepening cooperation in futuristic sectors such as green hydrogen, renewable energy, AI, and semiconductors.

After a fruitful visit to France, Prime Minister Modi’s next destination is the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During his day-long visit, energy, food security, and defence are expected to be the focal points of discussion. The Prime Minister will hold talks with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. This visit to Abu Dhabi will mark the completion of the triad, following substantive engagements with the leadership of France.
