Dutch officials stated that a bridge under construction in the Netherlands collapsed on Wednesday, killing at least two persons and injuring two more.
The regional safety authority tweeted, “An industrial accident occurred while building a bridge. Unfortunately, this resulted in two fatalities. Two people are injured”, through its official ‘X’ handle.
Earlier, the administration stated that a portion of the bridge under construction in Lochem, east of the country, had collapsed.
They initially reported four injuries, three of which were serious. It is unclear whether the two deaths were part of the original toll.
