India has urged its citizens in Saudi Arabia to follow safety precautions as security concerns and flight disruptions continue to affect travel in the region.

In an advisory issued on Sunday, the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia instructed nationals to move to the nearest safe location inside a building or an interior room away from windows in the event of an aerial attack. It further warned people against recording, publishing or circulating photographs, videos or other information related to ongoing incidents.

The Embassy said its officials were visiting hospitals to support injured Indian nationals and maintaining contact with their families to provide assistance.

Flight services have been affected. According to the Embassy, operations at Riyadh International Airport remain suspended, while airports in Dammam, Jeddah and Medina continue to function with some disruption.

Air India, Air India Express and IndiGo have suspended flights to and from Saudi Arabia until 24 October, while Akasa Air’s suspension extends until 27 October, across all routes.

Saudia continues to operate scheduled services to India from Dammam, Jeddah and Medina.

Flynas and Flyadeal have listed selected routes, including services to Delhi, Mumbai and Lucknow, subject to their published schedules.

Authorities have advised Indian nationals requiring urgent travel to consider routes through Bahrain, Kuwait or Qatar, provided they meet the relevant visa requirements.

The Embassy has urged prospective travellers, including those planning Umrah, to account for possible cancellations and prolonged stays.

India has condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and expressed solidarity with the country.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the Embassy remained in regular contact with the Indian community and was assisting those affected by travel disruptions.
