Air India has announced changes to its domestic flight network following the merger with Vistara, effective 1 December.

Vistara, the airline jointly owned by Tata Group & Singapore Airlines, will operate its last flight before officially merging with Air India.

Air India announced on Wednesday that Vistara flights will adopt the flight code 'AI2' from 12 November, ahead of the airlines' merger.

Vistara announced that starting in November, Air India will operate all Vistara aircraft, following the government's approval for their merger.

The DGCA has imposed a substantial financial penalty of Rs 90 lakh on Air India following an investigation into a serious safety violation.

Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Air India has announced an immediate suspension of all flights to and from Tel Aviv until 8 August.
