Kate Middleton
On Saturday, Kate Middleton, Britain’s Princess of Wales who is taking preventative chemotherapy for cancer, had written to an army regiment to apologize for missing a military parade, stating that she hopes to return very soon.
In a letter to the head of the Irish Guards regiment, Kate Middleton said, “Being your Colonel remains a great honor, and I am very sorry that I’m unable (to) take the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Review”.
“Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment, however, I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon”, Kate continued.
Last month, Britain’s Prince William, who is heir to the throne, stated that his wife, Kate (Princess of Wales), was doing well. She announced in March that she was undergoing treatment after cancer was discovered following abdominal surgery at the start of the year.
The Colonel’s Review takes place a week before a higher-scale parade to commemorate the monarch’s birthday as part of the Trooping the Color celebrations. Kate is the colonel of the Irish Guards, who is participating in the event.
