Blinken lands in Israel to discuss truce and humanitarian aid for Gaza

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in Tel Aviv early Thursday for meetings with Israeli leaders about a cease-fire with Hamas and the provision of humanitarian aid for Gaza.

It is Blinken’s third trip to the Middle East since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas, which was prompted by the Hamas group’s October 7 attack on Israel which killed more than 1,200 people.
