Recently, there has been a noticeable surge in the trend of individuals dancing inside metro trains, railway platforms, and other public spaces. While such acts can be irritating for the general public, they also pose potential safety risks. A recent video has emerged on the internet, featuring a young woman dancing to a popular Bhojpuri song inside a crowded and moving train coach in West Bengal.
The woman in question has been identified as Saheli Rudra, an Instagram influencer hailing from Kolkata with a substantial following of over 8.4 lakh followers. In the video, she can be seen confidently dancing to Khesari Lal Yadav’s ‘Saj Ke Sawar Ke’ in a passageway between seats filled with passengers. While some onlookers observed her with curiosity, others recorded the video on their mobile phones, and a few remained indifferent.
Ms. Rudra shared the video on her Instagram account with the caption, ”Chalo hum vi bna liye (Even I made it)”.
Since its sharing, the video has garnered more than 2.5 lakh likes and 11 million views. Internet users flooded the comments section with a wide range of reactions. Some were amused and praised her confidence, while others questioned her choice of location for shooting the video. Many labeled such activities as a “nuisance” and questioned the growing trend of shooting dance videos on trains.
One user commented, ”Making reels should be banned in local trains and stations. Wtf is wrong with the people nowadays?” Another expressed, ”Thanks to Indian railways for providing free entertainment for their passengers.”
A third comment read, ”Wow, superb confidence level. I feel uncomfortable even while taking a video call inside the train.” A fourth added, ”Nowadays, even the audience has stopped caring.”
Another commenter emphasized, ”Stop this trend.”Yet another wrote, ”If the railway department charges some amount from this type of cringe person, then the railway government would become a billionaire.”
