A special interfaith gathering was held in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala to mark the 90th birthday of Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.
Leaders from multiple religions came together to celebrate his life and legacy. Jain Muni Acharya Lokesh Muni delivered a strong message of non-violence and unity.
He stated, “War and violence are not the solution to any problem. Peace can only be established through dialogue.”
Acharya Lokesh Muni further added that religion teaches unity, not division, and there is no space for hatred, fear, or violence in spiritual paths.
The religious leaders present offered prayers for the long and healthy life of the Dalai Lama. They said his life remains a living example of peace, compassion, and humanity.
Acharya Lokesh Muni further emphasised, “We want ‘Buddha’, not war.” His message reflected the values that the Dalai Lama has upheld throughout his life.
The teachings of non-violence and compassion were echoed by all attending leaders.
During the programme, representatives of various religions jointly appealed for global peace and harmony. They stressed the need to reduce rising violence and tensions through mutual dialogue and cooperation.
The event in Dharamshala not only honoured the spiritual contributions of the Dalai Lama but also sent a powerful message for international harmony.
Faith leaders stood united in their belief that lasting peace can be achieved through shared values and non-violent efforts.
The audience, however, pledged to spread the Dalai Lama’s peace message across the world. They affirmed their commitment to uphold compassion, cooperation, and respect for all humanity.
